Dolly Parton’s former hideaway in Solvang is on the market.
The current owner of the home, Cris Lapp, a real estate broker with Black Oak Homes and Mortgages, has placed it on the market for $1.95 million and told Noozhawk he hopes a “mega fan” like him buys the property.
Originally built in 1920, the coveted property features three distinct homes, including a three-bedroom, two-bathroom front home; a three-bedroom, two-bathroom upper rear unit; and a one-bedroom lower unit with a three-quarter bath.
Each of the three homes also feature their own enclosed patio space.

Parton reportedly purchased the home through Dolly Parton Enterprises in 2004 and used it as her private weekend getaway for 10 years. Although she hasn’t lived there for many years, the home includes many indications the country icon once owned the home.
In addition to a stained-glass window which spells out “Dolly” and also features butterfly designs, the home also includes a wig room in the garage, a birdhouse replica of a chapel found in Dollywood, wooden tulips, a miniature windmill and many other decorative features.
The “Jolene” singer scared fans last year when she postponed concerts during her Las Vegas residency in a September 2025 social media post due to some “health challenges.”
Her announcement, coupled with her sister pleading with fans on Facebook to pray for the country star, increased fan concern, leading Parton to address just how serious her health concerns were.

“I wanted to put everybody’s mind at ease,” she said in an Instagram video. “Those of you that seem to be real concerned, which I appreciate, and I appreciate your prayers because I’m a person of faith. I can always use the prayers for anything and everything, but I want you to know that I’m OK. I’ve got some problems.
“As I mentioned back when my husband, Carl, was very sick, that was for a long time. And then when he passed, I didn’t take care of myself. So, I let a lot of things go that I should have been taking care of.”
She added that her health concerns were “nothing major” and captioned the post, “I ain’t dead yet!”
The “I Will Always Love You” singer recently announced she is canceling her Las Vegas residency, nearly a year after she initially postponed it. She explained to fans that while she is “responding really well to meds and treatments” and “improving every day,” she isn’t quite ready to take to the stage yet.
“It’s going to take me a little while before I’m up to stage performance level because some of the meds and treatments make me a little bit swimmy-headed, as my grandma used to say,” she quipped. “And, of course, I can’t be dizzy, carrying around banjos, guitars and such on five-inch heels … not to mention all those heavy rhinestone outfits, the big hair, my big personality.”

Parton went on to say that she’s always had issues with kidney stones, and her “immune system and my digestive system got all out of whack.”
Her residency was originally scheduled begin in December 2025 before being postponed to September 2026 and then ultimately getting canceled.
